Luckily we have all the information you need to decipher just what your vehicle has installed when it comes to Small Block Chevy. There are three different water pumps that came on Small Blocks through the years: Short, Long, and a special short from Corvettes.
Short:

Corvette Short:
- 5 13/16" From Base of Pump to Flange
- 3/4" Pilot Shaft Diameter
- Standard Rotation
Long:
- 7" From Base of Pump to Flange
- 5/8" Pilot Shaft Diameter
- Standard Rotation
